In August 2013 I was shocked to discover a bald patch on the back of my head. I began to panic that I was going to lose all my hair. This was about a month before I was planning to move to Sussex from Wales and during that month, a couple more patches started developing. I also noticed that my hair overall was much thinner than I remembered. By the time I moved, my scalp had become quite sore, and my hair was starting to fall out rapidly. Shuna advised me to keep track of my emotions and stress levels, and I felt comfortable talking to her about the possible stressful triggers for my hair loss.
Over the next few months, I lost a huge amount of my hair, and I started wearing a very realistic wig which helped my confidence. I continued to have consultations at Shuna Hammocks Trichology as it always gave me reassurance and was the only place where I could relax during that stressful time. She was able to spot the first signs of regrowth in early 2014, and slowly but surely my hair started filling in. It has taken a while but my hair has now almost fully regrown and I can finally walk down the street as I am. I feel that my hair loss was caused by a delayed reaction to severe stress about 6 months prior my move.
