Thank you for visiting. My name is Shuna Hammocks, and I am a Consultant Trichologist who has been a hair and scalp specialist for 17 years.
Where It All Started
Shuna started working in the product laboratory at Philip Kingsley in London in 1999; she gained working experience in producing various creams and shampoos. She started the Institute of Trichologists course while working as a clinical assistant, carrying out treatments. After qualifying, Shuna immediately started consulting under the watchful eye of Philip Kingsley and her father, Glenn Lyons.

In 2011, Shuna Hammocks Trichology opened its doors; Shuna strives to bring her previous London experience with her own personal slant and newfound experiences on the farm.
My Approach
As Trichology is considered to be a holistic approach, I consider all aspects of your medical health, lifestyle, family history and emotional life to diagnose your condition. I really listen to your concerns and know first-hand how badly your hair loss condition affects your confidence. There may be a situation causing you stress or anxiety that hurts your hair or vice versa, but I can gently guide you and set up a supportive yet effective plan.
My Hopes For The Future
You’ve probably guessed by now that I’m really passionate about trichology, and I’m always surprised that it is not yet a household word. Why is it that if we hurt our back, we immediately think of an osteopath or need our teeth straightening, we think orthodontist? But when it comes to hair loss or an itchy scalp, our first thought is either our GP or pharmacist.
Unfortunately, most often, these are not the best place to start. So, my mission is to continue to raise awareness about what I do and how I can help you passionately by blogging regularly and offering guidance and top tips. And I do believe we can and will change perceptions about hair.
